WinFS beta released to developers
Tuesday, August 30th, 2005 The long overdue new file system for windows, Winfs, has finally been released to developers on MSDN. It will still not be a part of Windows Vista.
Winfs and its precursor OFS (Object File System) have been listed as one the most long lasting vaporware in the computer business.
