I really was looking forward to buying a umpc but I am no longer sure. The lack of keyboard and relatively high price on the first models is not very appealing. There are full featured notebooks for around $850, the first umpc will be slightly more.

I have not been covering security much. But I ran into this Internet Explorer security issue on www.spyber.com. It turns out that that you can read the Clipboard from javascript. You could some pretty nasty stuff with it.

The Windows Live Beta is dead on arrival. The page is painfully slow with Internet Explorer and does not seem to load with Firefox. If Microsoft wants to compete with Google even their betas have to reach minimum levels of quality control.

Vice President Jim Allchin has admitted that Windows is broken. It is now so complex that not even Microsoft believes in crunching out new version every couple of years.
Getting the new file system, Winfs, to work is like getting a pig to fly according to Microsoft sources…

Microsoft is working on a replacement for Hotmail called Mail Beta according to Epic Empire.
Mail Beta will feature a slick interface and offer 2 GB of space. Just like that other Mail service.
