eBay Rover update

Two days ago eBay started their roll out of Rover, their new transaction ID system which handles referral tracking. As much of eBay’s API and system the transaction ID handling is a mess. The new system will be consistent on most eBay sites.

I’ve started working on a image based interface for eBay. The latest version of the eBay API has support for image URLs. Previously it has only been possible to see thumbnails.

I have now made a new eBay mashup using Virtual Earth Map Control SDK, version 3.0.1.
There is no longer use for my home made pop ups that were using Overlib. The new pop ups look pretty nice.

I just completed a upgrade to Google Maps Api 2 of my Ebay Google Mashup.

I have been traveling lately and will continue to do so for more than a week. I got notice that Google Maps Api version 2 might cause trouble with old applications. I will try to fix my scripts before they become obsolete but I am not sure I will have time to do it.

eBay is now offering stores under custom domains. This means that you can have all the features of a regular eBay store: PayPal, Payments, Product Catalog, Inventory Management, Storage Space and Security on your own domain.
