Geocoded RSS feeds

Friday, October 28th, 2005

I just got an email from Mikel Maron where he suggests that I add geocoding to my rss feeds. He has detailed instructions on his site on how to do that.

Alexa traffic rank

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

I just stumbled upon the Alexa traffic rank for markovic.com.
Great news, markovic.com is on place 409,769 up from place 3,828,749…
I find it a bit suspicious that Google is not on first place. And that myplace.com has a higher rank than Aol. This must be painful for Time Warner who paid $182 billion for Aol.
It […]

I will probably also make translation of the web page. There is […]

Friday, October 21st, 2005

I have now released RSS feed support for eBay searches. It is a beta and I am sure that there are some bugs. Do a regular search and the click on the My Yahoo, XML or My Aol icons.
I am using permalinks for the RSS feed which I find nicer than regular query string based […]

eBay RSS delayed

Thursday, October 20th, 2005

I ran into some trouble today. Hostip.info was down and my application stopped working as there was no error handling for getting data from other sites.
It has been fixed. I have also added other error handling. I still have problem with people entering postal codes that eBay dislikes, but that is not really an application […]
