We really need another memory card format. And even smaller. Sony and Sandisk are now launching Memory Stick Micro which is only 15 × 12.5 × 1.2 mm. That is so small you will loose it within 30 seconds of taking it out of your phone.

Sony did learn their from their mistakes of the original Memory Stick. It had a maximum capacity of 128 megabyte, which even at launch time seemed too little. Memory Stick Micro supports up to 32 GB and will be available in 1 gigabyte at launch.

I am so looking forward to see the dimensions of the Memory Stick Nano.
